Click the Mail icon
Click the
Mail
icon.
From the
Mail
menu, choose
Preferences
.
Select your email account in the
Description
list.
Click the
Edit
button.
In the
SMTP Host
field, type
mail.maildomain.com
.
Check the box next to
Use authentication when sending mail
.
In the
SMTP User
field, type your entire email address (e.g.,
joe@maildomain.com
).
In the
SMTP Password
field, type your password.
Click the
OK
button.
Congratulations! You have successfully configured Mail for Mac OS X for SMTP Authentication.
