How to add Message Rules for Outlook Express

1.  Open Outlook Express and the click you left mouse button on “Tools” Then left click on “Message Rules” and then left click on “Mail…”

  1. Click you left mouse button on “New”

 

3.  This is the screen that should come up after you click on “New”

4.  To make a rule that will find all the e-mails with a certain subject put a check in “Where the subject line contains specific words”.

5.  To delete the mail from your Inbox put a check in “Delete it from server” Note: If you do this any e-mail with the word that you specified in subject will be deleted from the server”.

6.  Now click on “contains specific words” that is right below the “3. Rule Description” Box.  The Box to the left of the Add button is where you are going to type the word you want to delete.  We will use “Porn” as an example. Once you have typed the word in click your left mouse button on “Add”

  1. It should look like this after you click the “Add” button.

8.       Click “OK” with your left mouse button.

9.  It should look like this once you have click “OK”. Then click “OK” again with your left mouse button. 

10.  You’ re Done!  If you would like to add another rule follow steps 2 – 8.
